From being the most excited person to work hard at the corporate, I lost all my energy.
Now this wasn’t about a toxic work and environment or work pressure or low pay. This was something different and weird. I was feeling internally. Yes, there came a time at my office with the work and ox increased out of the blue.
But what I was facing was something very different, this was emotional disbalance that I was facing.
Being someone who was entirely obsessed with my laptop. I chose to work even on the days when my personal life was causing a lot of trauma. I kept on ignoring my emotions with a CEO mood attitude. Until one day I lost it all.
I lost it by my body reacting without my permission.
I didn’t cry. It was not a breakdown, but I couldn’t stand still. The world revolved in front of my eyes, and I could literally listen and feel my heavy heartbeat. (It was so paced) and this occurred in front of every damn one. It was so embarrassing and it made me feel that I was not as strong as I projected myself to be.
Since then, I am not the old hard-working dedicated Tanisha.
I get frequent fever and anxieties. I get trouble with a little extra work to do. I get trouble with brain blocking and numbness, and I take more time than usual to make sense of what you’re trying to say.
This was a big lesson, a real big one:
- Do not suppress your emotions ever.
- Your body keeps every count, even if you forget it.
- To be the best, do not forget that at the end, you have a capacity.
- Even if you are wanting to increase that capacity and supplement yourself with food, vitamins, fitness, and meditation, it’s a give and take.
- You can do it all, but see if you really need to do it all.
If you do not want to go through these things like shaking hands and heavy breath and continuous fever and stress, then supplement yourself. As much as energy as put to your work, you need to even consume those amount of energy through a better lifestyle.
