I recently started watching this comedy show on relationship advices. Cause let’s be honest, we all know if we are kinda getting used/cheated/played on or what not. Most cases, we feel extremely upset about when we hear someone directly pointing to us about the red flag relationship we are into. So rather, this show was a fun to watch. I was certainly watching some of the green flag guys sitting and talking to a female about what her man is exactly doing. Now the thing is, all these men are in a long term healthy relationship, married and a father too.
So we know where its coming from. So here this girl goes like informing that her man called her while he was drunk and said, ‘you are mine.’ Now ladies, I know how hot that sounds, but I was shocked to see these 3 men reacting like WHAT THE HELL. I wouldnt call my wife like this, she would just cancel on me if I did so, I really love her but I dont know how did I even end up owning her.
Owning her is a word that actually caught me. And I realise what kind of men I was dating back then. So these movies and books portray hot men, as possesive. Apparently, men in real life, seek inspiration from there. So when your man calls you his, you are weak your knees. And later, you suffer too with them.
Men with reality of genuinely loving and respecting you would not use statements of owning you ever!
